michael cameron started this petition to Commanding officer

Over the years, the Coast Guard community of the US Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May has found much needed rest, relaxation, fellowship and sanctuary on the sandy beach of the old Loran Support Unit (LSU) Wildwood property, just south of Two Mile Beach in Lower Township, New Jersey. Our communities veterans, active duty and reserve military families, Coast Guard auxiliary and Civilian employees have enjoyed this secluded beach for generations, keeping a diligent watch over the abundant natural resource and beauty this small area has to offer. Access to this beach is now at risk of being restricted, perhaps even shutdown, unless we take up the responsibility of protecting this unique moral welfare and recreation asset. We need every coastie - active, reserve, aux or civilian - worth their salt, to raise awareness of this issue, to help preserve access to our beach! Join this petition and make the TRACEN Commanding Officer know that "We want to protect, and stand for the responsible enjoyment of our MWR beach. We care about access to this beach, for our communities interests in fishing, surfing, swimming, sunbathing, combing and bird watching. We will strive to help our active, reserve and veteran military members keep their well deserved moral welfare and recreation opportunities!"
