I will not let the media impact my self-image.

The media has impacted body image for years and it has been seriously dangerous with the growth of social media. Eating disorders have been increasing over the past few years and studies show that the media and how bodies are portrayed is in direct correlation with the rise of eating disorders. People are striving to look like the people they see on magazine covers and are doing very harmful things to their bodies.

This petition aims to raise awareness of this issue and begin to re-inforce positive body image and lower the risk of eating disorders.

We want people to vow that they will not compare themselves to the images they see in the media.
