Pledge to have text messages sent when an AMBER alert is issued in Queensland

This petition had 23 supporters

Text messages need to be sent to all mobile phones in Queensland when an Amber Alert is issued.

Let's rally together and see if we can make a change. Pledge to make a difference to the safety of our children in Queensland, Australia!

Queensland is currently the only state or territory in Australia with an Amber Alert System in place. As it stands, Amber Alerts are issued via the media including TV and Radio broadcasts and now Facebook notifications. There are no text messages sent out to the residents of QLD. This needs to change! In North QLD we receive text messages when there is an impending cyclone but not one when a child is abducted?!

Please pledge to show your support of this change - a text message to be sent to all residents in QLD when an Amber Alert is issued - so I can contact Queensland Police Service Commissioner Ian Stewart & Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath with the results of this petition. Let's work together to protect the children of Queensland and ensure their safety is paramount.
