We are all doing our best to stay healthy and comfortable during this internationally recognized Health Crisis. Many Columbus Residents have the opportunity to work from the safety of their home, unfortunately this opportunity has not been available to everyone. Starting in October, the Columbus City School district has decided their teachers may no longer utilize technology to teach their classes from outside the school. Teachers are being forced to interact in person and in November will be required to teach students in the classroom. This decision puts the students, faculty, and staff at a much higher risk of spreading and catching COVID19, with possible deadly ramifications. The decision to send teachers and students back to school before it is safe is reckless, and demonstrates that the Columbus School District does not have students' and staff's best interests at heart.

Online learning is possible, and the technology is available to create an environment where students can confidently learn, and teachers can teach without risking their health, or the health of people around them. Parents of students and Family and Friends of Faculty and Staff should be given the opportunity to choose safety for their loved ones. Education from home is possible and should be explored as long as necessary.

If you are a Columbus, OH Resident, please consider signing this petition to push for the safety of our Teachers who mold the children of Columbus.
