The Columbus Police Department have proven throughout this injustice and the protests that have come out of it that they would rather use force to silence our voices while peacefully protesting. The issue at hand is the union they are all apart of is protecting the officers who abuse their power and enjoy using excessive force on a regular basis. They claim to stand together because it’s “brotherhood” but it is simply corruption. The entire police department but mostly the union needs to be investigated to weed out those bad officers and no longer let their coworkers silence give them a free pass to break the law continue using excessive force on a reoccurring basis.
