Over the years this rail road crossing has been the site of numerous accidents that have cause serious injury and death. On June 3rd of 2012 (4) area teenagers lost their lives at this crossing. Lexi, Blake, Kevin, Jeffrey (1) teenager seriously injured Julia, that survived.
In January of 1999 a group of (6) teens were involved in a very similar accident. Jessica, Josh G., Josh B., Shane, Ken. All lifelong residents in the community. Jessica broke her neck but did survive, the other teens survived also.
