The 1995 film Desperado had to be cut down in terms of violence to obtain an R rating from the MPAA. Many scenes using the Guacamole Gun for the blood effects were trimmed down to oblivion. However, the most significant change was the removal of the final shootout, which faded to white and skipped to the next scene in the current version. The MPAA wanted so many cuts to the shootout that Rodriguez decided it was better to cut it entirely. But it leaves the film with a rather anticlimactic ending. Ever since director Robert Rodriguez disclosed the existence of the scenes in his audio commentary of the movie, many (including myself) have been clamoring for a release with the uncut footage. Now that the film's 25th anniversary looms closer,  I believe that now's the appropriate time to prepare for such a release. Fans of Desperado, plase consider signing this petition to at least get the attention of Sony or Robert Rodriguez himself, so that a possible 25th anniversary Blu-Ray with the uncut version can allow all of us to see this cult movie in all of it's bloody glory.
