Last year due to COVID-19 protocols and online classes, the All Ivy Career Fair had to be virtual. This year we have successfully had in-person classes and events without incident. All students and faculty have been following safety protocols to ensure we can continue and expand in-person events. Last year’s virtual career fair and the past fall career fair were met with many negative reviews. From the lack of personal networking with other students within our school and other schools, long wait times in virtual rooms, and lack of uniformity in software platforms employers used the format of this event is not suitable to be online. In graduate school networking and career fairs are extremely important. There is no difference in being in-person with masks on in class and doing so at a career fair. Making this career fair virtual is not fair to students who have had to experience the fair online last year and potentially in 2022. Please consider making this career fair in-person.
