I'm signing because I didn't get to have a Christmas this year...I'm signing because I'm being punished for doing the right thing. I'm signing because if something doesn't change I'll become the statistic and another child will go fatherless.

I am signing because the current support laws in place present inequalities in what is right and just. People are rewarded for both not working at all and for working more than 40 hours. Income is income and there should not be loopholes in the system so that deceit over income is not rewarded. Also, ALL child support received by an individual should be counted against their income when seeking child support from another party.

child support are out of touch. They were created when women stayed home or were unable to make a decent living. That is not the case now.

Because if we truly want equality and recognize the importance of balanced responsibility when taking care of children, then it is unjust to put all financial burden on the father when the mother is capable of putting in the same amount of effort.

I completely agree, my boyfriend of 7 years and father to our two children has two other kids in AZ. For the longest time he hasn't even been able to speak with the kids because the mothers won't let them let alone see them yet we pay thousands a year. Children aren't meant to become pawns in life when things don't work out between parents. Also child support isn't meant to better your life as a parent. I would love to see what they spend their money on. Personally I think it needs to be put into a savings account and before the other parent can take it out it needs to be laid out what's it's for and receipts need to be given.

The child support system is a joke. It needs to be evaluated on a case by case basis and situations. No two cases will ever be the same and anyone can work numbers.
