The murder of Breonna Taylor has sparked a nationwide movement to end the broken system of policing that enabled officers to enter Breonna Taylor’s home and take her life. 

Calls for “Justice for Breonna Taylor” continue to ring out across the country. One way people are taking action is to demand their cities and states ban no-knock warrants. This is a type of warrant that many consider deeply troubling, and it’s the type of warrant police used to enter Breonna Taylor’s apartment the night they took her life.

No-knock warrants allow police to enter a home without announcing their presence. They’ve resulted in countless deaths and injuries all around the country. People murdered or hurt in their own homes  – or even police officers injured while on duty – because of the dangers of no-knock warrants.
