Cause others and our government to return respect to dog breeders, boarders and others.

I have been a veterinary technician and dog groomer and involved with dogs all my life. My husband and I have done no-cage, in-our-home dog boarding and training for 20 years with -0- complaints. In my 47-year career, I have never had a legal issue, and nothing but happy clients. Our Colorado license has been revoked due to my putting down a 5-day-old dying puppy who was brain-damaged due to his mother being snake-bitten while pregnant. Without our services, our long-term clients will have no other alternatives in dog boarding, since we've taken care of their dogs for years. Additionally, since my husband is disabled, this decision has effectively removed our income. I was not found guilty of doing anything wrong - in face, the AVMA guidelines (which PACFA references) support what I did. This was an entirely legitimate thing for me to do, since the puppy was suffering. PACFA says this was animal cruelty - but what would have been cruel is to have allowed him to suffer any longer. I feel that I am being persecuted for having done the right thing, and I want PACFA to understand that many people do not agree with what they have done.
