Kaleph Green started this petition to Colorado Governor

The first spread limit of 70mph was introduced in the 60s, with lap belts, no air bags, and very primative vehicle safety standards, it's now 2020, and the speed limit is 5mph faster, in the days of cars that can stop themselves, Park themselves, drive themselves, and just in general have pretty cutting-edge safety equipment, it's ridiculous that we're still only limited to 75mph. I feel at the very minimum speeds should be increased to 95mph Between cities. People argue, there will be more accidents, maybe, but if so, that's temporary, once it's the norm people won't care, not to mention i very commonly see traffic moving at those speeds. I think this in combination with stricter enforcement of keep right except to pass will make a dramatic change, and substantially help commuters. Interstate, and stretches of highway where it is just straight for miles in the middle of nowhere, it just makes sense, people will still slow down for weather, and most modern vehicles are perfectly capable of traveling at speeds much higher. A good start would be testing on toll roads, where you have an accurate measurement of vehicles per day, and can really Gauge an increase of accidents. As i Mentioned earlier though, the only way it will work is with STRICT enforcement of keep right except to pass, that way people not comfortable with the higher speeds, won't become a hazard for people that are.
