Throughout the hot days of summer in schools, students struggle to stay focused and complete their work. When students are exposed to the hot weather inside their classroom, it can reduce concentration, problem solving, social skills and even energy levels. With the help of air conditioners or swamp coolers, students will be more comfortable in a cool classroom environment, that is essential for learning.

This however is not just an educational issue, but effects students health too. When anyone is exposed to hot temperatures for a long time it can lead to dehydration, heat stroke and more. Air conditioning must be seen as an essential for schools in hotter climates in order to keep students learning, safe, and comfortable. With students being able to concentrate better in a cool classroom, it allows teachers to continue on with their lessons and allows students to learn during the summer and during the hottest times of the day. Students and teachers can work more efficiently in a room with a comfortable temperature as well as having lessons that will face fewer disruptions in comfortable classrooms, because people get irritated and have low moods when exposed to hotter temperatures.

While some schools may fight the idea and cost of air conditioning, it is essential to cool down these classrooms and continue to promote learning in schools. Without the ability to concentrate and complete school work, teaching to students is almost useless. While it may not seem like it, air conditioning is the next step to providing a better education to students attempting to learn across the board.
