Choose Community Petition

Our governor, with the permission of the current administration, is treating mandates as laws and forcing us and our children to submit our private medical information.

We believe that medical privacy is important. People should be encouraged to make decisions about their health in conjunction with the medical professionals of their choosing. One should have the ability to keep their medical history private, as that is personal information and they should never be forced to disclose it.

Additionally, we are not shaming people who choose to or not to wear masks or get vaccinated. That is their choice. The key word here is CHOICE. As individuals and as parents, we chose to live in Colonial Heights and we choose to send our kids to these schools. Every choice, medical information included, should be left up to us, our families, and households.

Colonial Heights has always been a tight-knit community, even during times when the rest of the world was divided at unprecedented levels. Let’s not allow these issues to cause division in our community. By signing this petition, we are choosing to stand together and refusing to be divided by personal choices.
