COD Computer Science Club started this petition to Dean, School of Science and Math Steven Holman

Many computer science majors and others involved in computer science activities here at COD would like to expand on their knowledge of the subject before transferring to a 4-year institution. One of the easiest ways to do this, in regard to formal education offered here on campus, would be to have CS-9 offered in the spring semester of 2020.

CS-9, or Data Structures, is an incredibly important class for those entering the workforce in this industry. With only 3 sections currently being offered in the Computer Science program here at COD, an additional course would not only assist students in preparing for transfer -- and in turn, internships and work opportunities -- but would also promote the collaboration of students and promote growth among the Computer Science community here on campus. The Computer Science club here on campus is seeing great potential growth in interest and involvement, and we would like to supplement that with another formal course here at COD.

This is an official request for an offering of CS-9 Data Structures in the spring semester of 2020 to the faculty whom it may concern, from the Computer Science Club and its peripheral followers.
