CNDA Dismisses Complaint Against Dr. Tracey Tannis

Last week the CNDA reached a decision to close the investigation into Dr. Tracey Tannis and the death of Ezekiel Stephan. To my knowledge this is the first such investigation into a colleague's conduct since Alberta naturopaths were granted the privilege of self-regulation in 2012. Our letter prompted the CNDA to carry out for the first time one of its essential duties as a health profession regulatory body: the investigation of a health care provider's conduct when a member of the public is harmed. Read my guest post on the blog Naturopathic Diaries for my thoughts on the CNDA's decision and what they still need to do to safeguard the public.
