Colleen Gehan started this petition to Loyola University Maryland

1 in 5 students in Baltimore suffer from food insecurity. There are programs in place to make sure children are fed while school is in session, but what about the weekends? Children potentially go from lunch on Friday, to breakfast on Monday without eating. Baltimore Hunger Project works to bridge that gap in our community.

Donations of just $5 can feed a child for an entire weekend. By adding a section for my proposal, "Hounds: Be Boulder", to our Meal Plan, students and parents will be able to choose to add extra Meal Points to donate to the Baltimore Hunger Project. This organization will use our donations to combat childhood hunger on the weekend by providing snack-packs in students' book bags with food for the weekend.

But I can't make this change by myself. Loyola needs to see that both students and parents are supportive and willing to make donations when adding money for themselves. With your signatures we could change the lives of many children right down the street from us!
