Our children are being forced to watch CNN10. We don’t believe it’s the job of our school or school staffs job to influence or indoctrinate our students one way or another on politics! We the parents, grandparents, and taxpayers of Colfax School District want the mandatory viewing of CNN10, a known politically left leaning media outlet, stopped! We wouldn’t support this type of indoctrination from either side of the political isle. We believe it is the job of the school district to educate our kids on reading, writing, arithmetic, history, and science! Politics are a personal choice based on opinion. Children love and respect both the parents and the teachers they are Involved with. When the family’s political views and the teachers oppose the other, it puts the child in a very difficult situation of having to decide who to side with. It’s tearing our kids apart long before they even need to start thinking about political views. Let’s let our children be children, our parents be the parents to make the major choices and influences on there own children, and teachers and schools teach the basic curriculum they get paid to teach!
