People need to be more accountable - bring their reusable cloth bag (and also not buy a million of them and create way more waste!) we don’t need these “better” bags which are actually so much worse!! People are not reusing them - some buy them every time they shop because it’s too convenient.
It’s not necessary and we can be the ones doing better by protecting our planet from a life time of plastic pollution! :)

Reusable cotton shopping bags (with trendy slogans and of course Cole's logo) would be much better. It works well in most European countries (especially Germany). I'm sure environmentally-friendly consumers wouldn't mind forking out a few dollars. They can be used again and again and put in with the laundry. I still have cotton bags which are about 10 years old and they still look good! If Cole's REALLY wanted to be environmentally-friendly, they would walk the talk and cut out all kinds of plastic bags! Even centuries after we are all dead and gone, these plastic bags will still be littering landfills or oceans. We need to prevent this for the sake of our earth, its animals, sea life and future generations. Let's act more responsibly!

We need large corporations such as coles to set an image for Australian citizens to actively try to limit their environmental impact. This is doing nothing but promote environmental destruction

Coles need to support the reduction in plastic bag use by continuing to make it compulsory to pay for a bag.

These bags are just contributing to the plastics problem, they are not a solution

It’s a gutless act to go back to using plastic bags because some people are not organised enough to bring bags with them. We are running out of time to save the planet for future generations.
