Coles and Woolworths Please Re-Introduce Coin-Lock Trolleys to Stop Abandoned Trolleys.

From late 2016, Coles and Woolworths have removed coin-lock shopping trolleys from Victoria. Since then there are abandoned trolleys been left in parking bays, parks, footpaths, nature strips and bus stops. Some of trolleys even been pushed to our river ways and wetlands. These abandoned trolleys created huge problems including cause damage to cars, cause traffic hazard to drivers, blocking footpaths and blocking waterways causing environmental hazard.
Coin-lock shopping trolleys have been used for many years and it proved that reduced abandoned trolleys problem significantly. These shopping trolleys should be remain in shopping centre area and the trolleys need to be returned to designed trolley bays. Coles and Woolworths have their own abandoned trolley report hotline, but there should be more need to be done to stop this problem.
Coles and Woolworths please re-introduce coin-lock shopping trolleys or implementing a new method to make the shopping trolley to be returned to the designed bay.
Please sign my petition asking Coles and Woolworths to re-think stopping abandoned trolleys.
