Town / County council of Essex to collaborate and work together to do what it takes to update the out dated school community safety zone on County road 12 in Gesto. As it stands it is at a current 50km zone. Based on the current school registration numbers and build up of homes in the community our Safety zone is past due for review and updating and must be included in the town of Essex 2022 budget. Looking to drop speed limit to 40km as stated by the Ontario traffic act and include proper posted sinage with/and flashing lights and sidewalks to alert traffic of the zoning properly. The fact there's a resident with disability should also go into factor but let's look at eco friendly, and eliminate some covid spread on the buses and promote healthy active living. This is so unacceptable to be over looked any further.
