It has come to our attention that Outdoor 24 is mandatory, but many sophomores believe it should be optional. It is known that Colby is a rigorous school and taking away most of our weekend is not ideal with doing work and having time to prepare for the full week ahead. We also have just arrived back on campus and still have not been able to settle in. This trip may be a fun idea for some students, but it should not be forced upon the whole sophomore class (while excluding fall athletes). All of the signatures are meant to show the administration that there are many people behind this campaign to make this optional.
