As a community we are disputing some of the bills, billed to our houses. We live in a community that is surrounded by informal settlements and the dwellers get water and electricity connected from our connection. We want the government to look into and sort out the water and electricity infrastructure in the community and properly bill us. We have household of elders where no one is employed. We have child headed homes and we mostly have homes where no one is employed. The community is marred by poverty and while we want to work with government we would like to make arrangements to pay water and electricity. We would like to agree on a flat rate.  We are asking for the CoJ to meet with us (Community of Lawley) to come up with an agreeable way to sort this billing business out.
