Many people are losing their money due to confusion when transferring between native Iotex and it’s Ethereum counterpart.

Many exchanges have listed “native” iotex while coinbase has lagged behind, still listing the “erc-20” version of iotex. Without proper measures in place to prevent transactions or to educate/warn users about the incompatibility between these blockchains many people have transferred, unknowingly losing thousands of dollars. 

We believe that this is unprofessional and unacceptable on coinbases end, as a centralised exhange they have the responsibility to ensure users are fully aware of risks that come by using their service and fully educated when it comes to situations that could result in loss of income. By allowing users to unknowingly send their money into the void without any warnings is not acceptable from a large exchange such as coinbase. 

Our demands 

We demand that Coinbase updates it’s exchange and has protocols in place to not allow transactions to take place that could result in money being sent into the “void” 

We demand that Coinbase allows for native Iotex to be bought, sold and traded just as all other exchanges have achieved

We demand that Coinbase does everything in its power to openly discuss options to compensate or aid the users who have lost their money due to its lack of support and “laziness”
