Help Us Save The Grass Trees in Jarvis Park !

Cockburn City Council on one hand put massive effort into trying to save Grasstrees along Roe 8

Only For The Mayor to stand in Jarvis Park a mere 2 weeks since the election and tell Residents that he is going to dig up all the Grasstrees in the Park to make way for "Landscaping"

Beautiful Ancient Original Grasstrees that watched my Father Grow Up In This Park will now be dug up with excavators in the coming weeks

A quick doorknock of my local neighbors ....all of which have lived on this park longer than god has revealed that they have had no idea of the Project going ahead at all

With further research on the topic showing that "The Jarvis Park Upgrades" have NOT been put to Public Consultation (As usual) as his Mayorship told me....

And they are talking like its a foregone conclusion that the Council will be ripping up Virgin Grass Trees

Other things the Residents that I have spoken to is
1*they want to maintain "The View"
AKA the ability to see the opposite edge of the park to know if any Security problems Arise...I second that

2*Nobody Wants any lights installed in Jarvis Park at all because we dont want people staying in the Park and Partying til the Wee hours

3* The New Pathway will not get used and We feel it is a massive cost for a Council especially in these times of Mounting Debt

4*Keep The Little Basketball Court !!!
Why would you spend $50K removing a Court noone wanted removed and gets the most use of anything in the Park !!

5* Dont Dig Up The Virgin Grasstrees !!!!

We Beg Of You Please Dont Do It !!!
