As everyone knows, the Covid numbers in the communities of Cobourg and Port Hope are rising. What can we do to help keep those numbers down? We can stop people from outside our community coming here to shop, dine and going to bingo. How do we do that you ask? Well, we sign this petition asking our Council members to approach our local businesses asking them to ask shoppers/diners for ID. If they are not local, then no entry. Simple as that. It was brought to my attention that people are coming here from Whitby to play bingo.. stay home. Also, Marilyn Dennis, from CHUM FM gave a shout out to Port Hope as her family was here this past weekend shopping.. again, stay home.

Our council needs to see that we care about our communities. If we don't do something soon, we will be in the same boat as the GTA, Peel, York and Peterborough regions. We do not want another lockdown!!
