Stand up against dress code
Stand up against dress code
Women are taught at an early age that their bodies should be disguised by dress regulations. To expose one's skin is to be "skinny." They instill in young girls the impression that their bodies are seductive and sexy. Dress guidelines that prohibit cleavage and thighs educate females that their bodies are objects and a source of distraction. School clothing restrictions can often cause more harm than good, from targeting and injuring girls to infringing on religious freedoms. They are regularly disobeyed, the management expends great amounts of time and resources enforcing them, and when lawsuits are filed, the schools usually lose. Dress codes in schools are supposed to create safe, positive learning environments, but far too many of them have the potential to do just that.
