We are asking drivers, customer service and dispatch to let our union and board members know we do not agree with any mandated covid vaccines or the use of vaccines passports, as a condition of employment. There are NO federal or state mandates for transit drivers to be vaccinated!!! 

It is an invasion of privacy, places undue burden and shows an inherent distrust in the ability of individuals to make decisions for themselves regarding bodily autonomy.

 It also violates the Nuremberg code: in any medical experiment the voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. Without force, fraud, deceit, duress or coercion. 

It also violates ORS 431.180 interference with individuals selection of health care provider, treatment or religious practice is prohibited.

It also violates our constitutional and bill of rights. 

We have not had any union meetings in over a year, even though we are supposed to have them monthly and have not been allowed to discuss covid mandates placed upon us. We want our union to stop any negotiations concerning vaccine mandates as a condition of our employment.
