Tell the Media to Stop Publicizing Mass Shooters

Mass shooters want attention. They're hurting, they're lonely, and when they commit mass shootings, they're guaranteed attention, even if it's posthumously. The media plasters their face over their programs, fawning over how "troubled" or "bullied" or "mentally ill" they were.

This needs to end. This won't solve the problem, but we are accomplishing nothing by publishing the names of these shooters. Join me in asking the media not to show their names, photos, or families.
