I was appalled, offended, disgusted, and embarrassed by the halftime show at the 2020 Super Bowl. I was watching it with my young sons and frankly I was totally disgusted. I am not alone in feeling this way. My Facebook feed blew up with people who were truly disgusted with the crotch grabbing and flaunting, the near nudity and vulgarity of the so called performers! Pole dancing!!!??? Seriously!!??? There have been very tasteful halftime shows done in the past, where true talent was displayed and you Didn’t have to change the channel during halftime!  I was also stumped as to what message was being presented.  The messages I got were women are objects, the more you can show off your body the better you are liked, you don’t have to sing just show your crotch and try to be as vulgar as possible and you’ll go places! I believe the women who have fought for the last 100 years for the rights of women to NOT be objectified were rolling over in their graves! Come on Super Bowl planners, let’s not cave to crass, vulgarity, let’s have a show that people can watch as a family and say, “ wow! That was incredible !”
