Abolish the facility fee for World Championships in Boston and all future events.
In this time of recession, parents are struggling to find money to pay for classes and dress their children for Irish dance, never mind paying ridiculous 'facility fees' on top of of travel, accommodation and door fees to take part in the Irish dance World Championships in Boston. Families should be free to choose accommodation according to their budget and not be penalised for this by charging them a facility fee. Not all families are rich, and they should not be discriminated against for this reason!
World Championships have run in top class cities in top class venues for the last few years without facility fees - abolish the facility fees, cut down CLRG expenditure and choose venues which CLRG can afford instead of alienating, enraging and pressurising already cash-strapped parents.
