Currently Australia is burning and our hero firefighters are putting their lives on the line to fight this awful natural disaster. We need to rise up on May 4 (International Firefighters ' Day) to celebrate these brave men and woman for all the lives they have saved and to mourne the lives lost in this tradgedy 

I believe a national day needs to be observed and effort taken to show how grateful Australian are for their service.

On this day there should be a massive fundraising drive to raise money for the Rural Fire Service for equipment and training 

International Firefighters' Day (IFFD) is observed on May 4. It was instituted after a proposal was emailed out across the world on January 4, 1999 due to the deaths of five firefighters in tragic circumstances in a bushfire in Australia.
