Downtown Fenton was shut down on Thursday and Friday nights last year for the Farmers market and other local business ventures. It offered an amazing thing for families to do together, no matter the age. Local restaurants were able to get more business as they could seat in the street. Kids would skateboard, scooter and roller skate around while listening to music. What a time. Now it seems some grumpy people want to be the fun police and allow traffic to flow freely, making it much harder to keep kids in the sidewalk, congests the crowd and is downright dangerous with the kids running into the street. Let’s change it back and get the road shut down to have a fun and safe time.
