NYC, with the approval of the NYC City Council member Erik Bottcher of the 3rd district in Manhattan, have seen it fit to place a dog park in the center of a residential community.  The community is Penn South Coop in the Chelsea section of Manhattan.  The dog park opens at 6:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m. everyday. The community is being negatively affected by the incessant, constant, extremely loud, and piercing barks of the dogs.  Community members, who are already mentally fragile due to the COVID pandemic, are experiencing added stress to their already unstable mental fitness.  

The community has been begging for the dog park to be closed with no response.  It is insensitive, to the neighbors, for this simple quality of life request to be denied.  

PLEASE close the dog park.  Our sanity, mental well being, and community life is at stake.
