At the February Full Council Meeting of West Lancashire Borough group leaders of The Conservatives & Our West Lancashire voted to set up a working group to look at winding down Tawd Valley Developments Limited. We are asking that this decision be reversed.

West Lancashire Borough council needs affording housing, both for sale and for council housing stock & Tawd Valley Development Limited was building those much needed houses to a very high quality.

Winding the company down will mean that private developers will build these houses instead and will keep the profits that could have been returned to the council.

Please reconsider your stance on this and overturn your own decision to look at winding down this company.

Please also provide a clear and concise reason for closing down the company if you choose not to overturn your decision.

Residents of West Lancashire deserve to understand why this decision was made and, at the very least, deserve a full explanation as to your reasons for doing so.
