Oppose the introduction of parking charges in Rickmansworth

This petition had 1,726 supporters

The 2 hour free car parks in Rickmansworth will become four hours max stay, with the first hour free and second hour for £1.
If people want to they can then pay £2.50 to park for 3 hours or £4 to park for 4 hours.
There is a public consultation about the introduction of charges (live until 5th February 2018).Please sign our petition and write to/email Threerivers District Council with your views.
There is also a proposal to  swap the uses of Northway Lower deck car park to long term parking with Talbot Road (High St) (opposite the Coach and Horses} becoming short term.

Your local councillors are against  these proposals
as they will prevent a frequent turnover of shoppers parking in Rickmansworth and be detrimental to the local shops.
These carparks will not accept cash but only card payments which may also deter shoppers.
No other car parks in Threerivers are to introduce parking charges .
We believe this to be unjust and biased against Rickmansworth Town.

Rickmansworth car parks which will charge for parking:
a)      Northway Multi-storey car park Upper Storey, Northway
b)      Three Rivers House Rose Garden Car Park, Northway
c)      Ebury Road Car Park, Ebury Road
d)      High Street West Car Park, High Street
e)      Talbot Road Car Park ‘A’, Land to the west of 9 Talbot Road
f)       Ten spaces marked in Bury Lane car park, Rickmansworth
