I googled how much money (revenue) the top ten electric companies in the world  bring in annually and it totaled over 1 trillion dollars. Now keep in mind this is just the top ten. There's a  lot more money where that came from. If you figure the oil industry and big pharma each make at least the same if not more, that's a conservative minimum 3 trillion dollars a year in gross revenue. Now revenue are not profits but at those figures it doesn't matter for purposes of this petition. The UN says it would only cost 30 billion dollars a year to end world hunger. Divide that amongst those 3 entities and that makes each entity only needing to contribute 1% a year of an under estimated figure of they're annual revenue. We all know corporations that big pay no taxes. So, if they don't even have to lose to taxes why should they not be expected to donate 1% each to cure world hunger? That's  less than if they had to pay taxes. And, who do they get they're money from? Us! With out us they wouldn't exist, wouldn't be the wealthiest entities on the planet, and wouldn't have any power. We cannot unfortunately boycott electricity, fuel, and medicine. They've got us by the you know what's! So what we should do is spread this petition and raise awareness. And form public opinion about knowing how our hard earned money consolidated into such singular mass quantities gets used or squandered? Because the money comes from you and I, we all should organize and put pressure on the companies to contribute. (Because they can more than afford it) And put pressure on the media to cover the story. It's our money, we have a say in whether it goes to a good cause at those gross amounts of profit. And even if its not world hunger alone, there's very important things... the most basic of things you and I take for granted. Like planned parenthood, acceptable toilet methods for whole villages, medicine, education, and the most expensive of all, self sustaining solutions. So you put something in place and then don't have to write them any more annual checks from then on. Give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach him to fish he eats for life...  It personally wouldn't bother me at all, if at those profits, they gave up to 10% to really do some good!
