The Issue

I-ready is a learning tool which has been in use since the beginning of this school year, (2018-2019) and the students of Cleveland middle school have had enough.

While i-ready is a great way for us to take diagnostic tests and various benchmark tests, I think it should be removed from RTI time. I-ready wastes valuable learning time with it's useless lessons that we're already learning in school. Another reason I-ready should not be used is because it seems that it was intended for a much younger audience due to it's overexplaning.  Within the first 5 minutes of the lessons you already have a clear understanding of the material but the lesson keeps on going for another 10 minutes+. During those 15 minutes we could be doing other new lessons that we havent already learned in previous classes. A great substitute for iready would be ixl which 1. Various students have stated they would rather be doing iready during RTI time and 2. Not only has math and ela, but also science and social studies as well.

Please consider the students request to end i-ready.
