Problem
Chickens are illegal to have in your backyard in Clermont, FL. Lake County says it's ok, but the city of Clermont prohibits it. This issue has come up more than once for the City Council, but they have not approved it yet due to a lack of interest from Clermontians. Right now, chickens can only be approved for individual households through a lengthy, bureaucratic, expensive process. Let's make chickens more accessible! 

Solution
A mass showing of public support, both virtually and physically, would persuade the City Council to allow them. On Dec 11 at 6:30pm, I will be speaking to the council to persuade them to allow backyard chickens. Please consider attending this event as well as signing this petition.
