Support Open (FREE) Educational Resources at Clemson University
This petition had 187 supporters
Textbook costs are rising at unprecedented rates, adding unnecessary financial burdens to Clemson students already facing the steep price of higher education. But there's another way.
Open Educational Resources (OER) are online, openly-licensed materials such as textbooks that are free for students to use and for faculty to customize. For more information about OER, click here: https://sparcopen.org/open-education/ .
In order to convince Clemson University faculty to transition from costly traditional textbooks to affordable OER, the student body must make its voice heard. The Clemson Undergraduate Student Senate has already passed a resolution in support of OER. Now we need YOUR support.
By signing this petition, you certify that you are a Clemson University student and that you support the adoption of OER across campus.
