The 620 entrances and exits to the pre-school are dangerous! We have the ability to clear a walking path in the neighborhood so that we can safely get our children to school.  The path goes from Meadowlark to the back play area of the school and along the fence.  There was already a trail there years ago.  

Pros:

Safer access twice a day.

Exercise for better health.

Fresh air.

Teaching children about nature along the way.

A more enjoyable drop-off and pick-up situation.

Building community through meeting other neighborhood parents on the trail. 

Connecting with children in a deeper way - walking promotes more open communication. 

Low cost - there was already a trail there previously.  

Avoid frustrating traffic. 

A better start and end to the day.
