The Dardanup Environmental Action group appreciates the opportunities that the Lithium processing operation at Kemerton will bring to this region; however Dardanup is not a suitable place to dump the Lithium tailings!

We, the undersigned request that Cleanaway Waste Management be required to source a location other than the Banksia Rd tip in Dardanup for their proposed lithium tailings collection and management. The Banksia Rd site is completely unsuitable for the long term accumulation of toxic waste like lithium tailings due to its proximity to the township of Dardanup and the tourist attraction of Ferguson Valley. Cleanaway’s proposal poses unacceptable risks to the community, the environment and economy of the region.
