Halliburton and associates are moving on the Heath play in central Montana. Much of the play shares the same geographical region as the Madison Aquifer, a water source that is 99.9 percent pure. Any contamination would mean devastation to the surrounding communities, crops, ranches and wildlife. As oil and gas development ramps up in the United States, we must ensure clean water supplies for the communities and surrounding land forms effected. The Halliburton Loophole is a direct attack on the EPA and the Clean Water Act, which protects our right to clean water. We must protect this most essential of natural resources.
