As a local resident I have lately noticed a huge increase in rubbish on the footpaths of Miranda. Every time I walk my dog I am needing to pry rubbish out of his mouth and stop him constantly from picking up discarded masks and foodstuffs. If something isn't done we will have greater problems relating to pests including rodents. And then who knows what what diseases may begin to spread, especially with the rain. The northern beaches is already experiencing an outbreak of a deadly disease effecting dogs called leptospirosis believed to be caused by the extended wet weather and transmitted via rodents. We need to clean up our area to prevent this happening here.
