Why this petition matters

I am a first generation graduate and I worked four hard years! along with the rest of my class, to get my high school diploma . Some students worked even harder to graduate early or even honor roll, valedictorian, avid, or whatever over achievements they have received to excel in their future. Let’s not forget the people that teachers doubted that were failing and barely passing but pulled it together to get it done to walk that stage with their close friends. Although the entire world was going though a crisis we must not live pass the fact that CLASS OF 2020 DID NOT receive a proper ceremony for our biggest achievement as young adults. Finishing high school is more than just a pat on the back and a diploma it’s the start of our adult lives, every person looks forward to getting ready and walking across that stage so our family could celebrate us. The fact that some family could even make it because they were sick and unable to do so. We did not wake up at 5-7 o’clock every morning, go to school for 8 hours + , study during lunch, stay after hours, go to summer school just for the bare minimum the school districts gave us. I just know a box of items and a drive thru graduation was and is still not enough! We deserve to experience senior sunrise, grad night, prom, graduation parties, and especially walking across that stage with proper appreciation! We deserve to have that memory to look back on but we don’t we have “what they could do at the time” with minimal effort. That’s why I come on here to speak on behalf of the class that still wants to experience this AS WE SHOULD. Hopefully many of you will feel the same way I do! so that changes could be made so we could have the graduation we always looked forward to ! So please tell YOUR story! & LIKE. SHARE. & REPOST
