Keep East High graduation gowns white for girls

Central Dauphin East High's graduation gowns have always been black for the boys and white for the girls for as long as anyone could remember. It is not right to change it for this year. Having both colors is necessary to uphold East highs tradition and legacy. The girls of class of 2018 took our senior portraits in a white gown, we paid hundreds of dollars for those portraits. It is not right for us to be graduating in black if we took our portraits in white, those portraits are meant to memorialize the accomplishment of graduating. Our sister school, Central Dauphin has both white and green gowns. As a school district we should be as a unit and have the same standards as them. Class of 2018 has worked so hard to graduate, our voices should be heard in this change. We did not ask for this change. Other classes were able to make changes and get what they wished for. We are taught to stand for what we believe in. We ask that we get heard in this change. We are so passionate about this because graduation is so important, it is a huge accomplishment for all our hard work.
