Conservation of rural areas and farmland

Conservation of rural areas and farmland
Why this petition matters

The potential rezoning of 230 acres at the corner of Rossview Road and Guthrie Road would create an undue strain on infrastructure. It would create intolerable traffic issues not only on Rossview Road, but the smaller county road (Guthrie Rd). The potential increase number of single family residences would create additional strain on existing schools in the school system as well as the planned new construction of schools on rossview road.
The addition of such a large number of residences would impact the quality of life of the existing residents of the area and impact the wildlife in the area as well. Our goal is to preserve the agricultural history and slow the inundation of urban sprawl into the rural areas of the county. We understand growth is imperative for survival, but not in such a way that it causes detriment to the residents and area.
Please sign this petition in order to show your support of voting NO for the rezoning of the current agriculture land (230 acres) at the corner of Rossview Road and Guthrie Rd. So that the county commissioners can hear our voice in unison.
