Early Childhood Education has been a staple to Silverado High School for over a decade. Hundreds of both preschoolers and teachers have come in and out those doors with nothing but smiles and laughs. Students go through all three years learning about the joys of teaching and being educated on how to do just that. Our teacher, Mrs. Zimet, has done nothing but educate and love every single one of us as her own, preschoolers included. We are the only high school that has a preschool ran by us, the students, and we highly pride ourselves in that. The Silverado High School administrators told us Thursday, May 17th, 2018, one week before the end of the school year, that the removal of this department will be taking place as of the following 2018-2019 school year. Meaning many students going without the oppurtunity of experiencing this class as well as preschoolers. However, with 800+ signatures these changes could be considered for reversal. Please help us save our program and be able to continue to educate the following generations for many more years to come.
