Yes I know that Mario Kart isn't a big deal in the day to day of your busy lives, however for me it is. During the 40 minutes I have for lunch at my school, I class it as spare time as we are prohibited from doing a number of things and the only activities that are on are sports based (sorry but no thank you). This time in my academic year is rather stressful, considering I am less than 6 weeks away from the beginning of my GCSEs. During this 40 minutes in between my intense, demanding and taxing lessons I would like to relax with my friends and play Mario Kart. Currently, me and my friends sit in an awkward silence waiting for someone to either make a provocative statement to spark a debate (this happens once in a blue moon) or to crack a joke. Now I understand that there are many reasons why technology (i.e phones, tablets, etc) is banned in schools, the increase in cyber bullying over the years has been immense, however the device we are using is the Nintendo GameCube which doesn't even have internet access and also instead of deterring us from being social I've always noticed that games such as Mario Kart are rather community based.
