The Oregon Ferret Shelter ( OFS ) has been in its current location for 29 years. It's the only place unwanted, abandoned, seized, and/or sick ferret can go. OFS take in ferrets in various conditions, it is also a strictly no kill shelter that will always have a place for ferret to go. OFS is a volunteer runned shelter with no paid staff. All operation costs are paid for by generous volunteers allowing all donations to go the care and well being of the ferrets. People are able to perform their community services hours at the shelter, kids and college students needing volunteer hours are able to doing them at the shelter. OFS is gives seniors and people with disabilities a way to be a part of the community by having them do educational outreaches and being ferret foster parents. Outreaches are done every weekend and at public events that allows OFS to be a part of. The OFS owners and volunteers are always available to help ferret owners understand their ferret, answer questions and be good ferret owners.
